Audit Trail generates a downloadable report of all key administrative actions performed in HqO Admin within a specified date range. Use it to review admin activity, support compliance reviews, or investigate configuration changes.
Overview
Navigate to HqO Admin > App Configuration > Audit Trail to generate and download audit reports.
The page is intentionally minimal — select a date range, then download the report. The exported file contains a chronological log of admin events across your property.
⚠️ Note: The Audit Trail report covers actions performed by HqO Admin users (building administrators, property managers). It does not log tenant app activity.
Generating a report
Download an audit report
- Click Select range in the Date range field.
- Choose a start date and end date for the report period.
- Click Download report to export the log as a file.
đź’ˇ Tip: The Download report button is disabled until a valid date range is selected.
Report contents
The audit report is a log of key events performed by admin users in HqO Admin during the selected time frame. Typical events recorded include:
- Feature configuration changes (create, update, delete)
- Theme and branding updates
- User role and permission changes
- Utility button additions and edits
- Experience channel creation and status changes
- Building configuration updates
The report downloads as a CSV, scoped to one customer's data, with these fields:

| User UUID / Name / Email | The admin who performed the action |
| Building Name / UUID | The building the action was taken in |
| Title | Short description of the event (e.g., "Admin user role added") |
| Value | Additional detail about the event |
Audit data does not expire and is never removed after a timeframe.
FAQ
What file format is the audit report exported in? CSV.
How far back can I request data? You can select any date range for the report. For very long date ranges, the report may take a moment to generate.
Who can access the Audit Trail? Viewing the report requires one of these roles: Internal Manager, Landlord Manager, Landlord Super Admin, or Landlord Security Admin. If you do not see this page in your navigation, contact your HqO account team to verify your permissions.
Does the audit trail capture tenant user activity? No. The Audit Trail tracks actions performed by building administrators and property managers within HqO Admin. Tenant-facing activity (app usage, event RSVPs, access events, etc.) is available in the Intelligence section.
Can I filter the report by admin user or action type? The date range selector is the primary filter available on this page. For more granular filtering, open the downloaded file and apply filters in your preferred spreadsheet application.
