Buildings

Buildings list with property names, area, population, and status

CRM / Buildings — Production view

Buildings is the central registry for all properties in your portfolio. Each building record holds configuration, user population data, and publication status.

Overview

Navigate to HqO Admin > CRM > Buildings to see all buildings you have access to. The table shows:

ColumnDescription
BuildingProperty name and physical address
Rentable areaTotal rentable square footage
Building populationNumber of registered users
UUIDUnique identifier used for integrations and API calls
StatusPublication state: Live or Draft

Buildings set to Draft are not visible to users in experience channels. Set a building to Live when it's ready for tenants.

Create a building

  1. Navigate to HqO Admin > CRM > Buildings.
  2. Click Create building in the top right.
  3. Fill in the building details:
    • Name and optional description
    • Address
    • Building population and square footage
    • Building image — shown in the building picker
    • Language(s) — add additional language variations if the building serves multiple languages
    • Whitelabel app — which app the building is attached to
    • Timezone and currency
  4. Click Save.

đź’ˇ Tip: Building setup is typically completed during onboarding with your HqO representative. Reach out to appsupport@hqo.co before creating new buildings independently.

Edit a building

Click on any building name to open its detail view. From there you can update the building name, address, branding, and other settings.

Change building status

Each row has a Status dropdown. Click it to toggle between Live and Draft.

⚠️ Note: Changing a Live building to Draft will immediately hide it from users in experience channels.

Copy a building UUID

Click the copy icon next to any UUID to copy it to your clipboard. UUIDs are used when configuring integrations, API calls, and bulk operations.

Email domains

Email domains control which users can access the tenant app for a building without being registered as guests. Only users with a matching email domain are granted non-guest access.

To add or manage email domains:

  1. Navigate to HqO Admin > CRM > Buildings.
  2. Click the building name to open its detail view.
  3. Scroll to the Domains section.
  4. Enter a domain (e.g. acme.com) and click Add.

⚠️ Note: Generic email domains — such as gmail.com, outlook.com, or yahoo.com — cannot be added. Only company-specific domains are accepted.

Adding a domain grants access to all users with that email suffix. Remove a domain at any time by clicking the remove icon next to it in the table.

FAQ

Why does building population show a dash? The building has no registered users yet. Users are added through the Users page or via bulk import.

Can I delete a building? Building deletion is not self-serve. Contact HqO Support if you need a building removed.

Why can't I add a domain like gmail.com? Generic email providers are blocked to prevent unintended access. Only company-specific domains are accepted.
