HqO Admin on the Go Beta
Handle service requests, send communications, and check guests into events from your phone — without going back to a desk.
Overview
HqO Admin on the go is a mobile-first companion to HqO Admin. It runs in your phone's browser at app.hqo.com for North American customers, and it's built for the work that happens while you're moving around the building: triaging a request on the floor, sending a quick notice to tenants, or scanning attendees in at an event door.
It signs in with the same HqO Admin account you already use, respects the same roles, and writes to the same data — a status you change on your phone is the same status your colleague sees in HqO Admin on the desktop a second later.
🧪 Beta: HqO Admin on the go is in beta. Features are being added regularly, and some may change based on feedback. If something doesn't work the way you expect, tell us — see Sending feedback.
What you can do today
| Area | What's available on mobile |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | A rollup of upcoming events, recent communications, and open service requests, tailored to your roles |
| Service Requests | Browse, search, and filter requests; open a request; change status; message the requester; add internal notes; assign personnel; create and edit requests |
| Communications | Review sent, scheduled, and draft communications; preview push and email; compose and schedule a new communication |
| Event Check-In | See upcoming events; scan attendee QR codes with your phone camera; check guests in manually from the roster |
What still lives on the desktop
HqO Admin on the go is deliberately narrow. It covers the tasks that are genuinely better on a phone, and it doesn't try to reproduce all of HqO Admin. Everything else — CRM, content, surveys, resource booking, visitor management, commerce, analytics, and all app configuration and settings — stays in HqO Admin on the desktop.
Event configuration is a good example of the split: you create an event, set its capacity, and turn on QR check-in in desktop HqO Admin. You then run the door from your phone.
💡 Tip: The sign-in screen links straight to the desktop admin panel if you land on your phone and realize you need the full experience.
Roles you need
Access is driven by your existing HqO Admin landlord roles. You don't request separate mobile permissions — if you can do something in HqO Admin on the desktop, the mobile app grants you the matching area.
| Area | Roles that grant access |
|---|---|
| Service Requests | Operator or Super Admin |
| Communications | Notifier or Super Admin |
| Event Check-In | Operator or Super Admin |
| Dashboard | Always available — the rollups shown depend on the roles above |
A few things worth knowing about how this behaves:
- You only see what you can use. The bottom navigation bar, the side menu, and the dashboard only show areas your roles grant. An admin with only the Notifier role sees Communications and nothing else.
- Roles are scoped. Your roles are granted against a company or a set of buildings, so the requests, communications, and events you see are the ones in your scope.
- A direct link won't bypass a role. If you open a link to an area you don't have access to, you'll get a message reading "You do not have permission to access this feature. Please contact your administrator to request access."
Roles are managed in HqO Admin under Settings > Roles & Permissions. See Roles & Permissions for the full list of roles and what each one grants.
🔒 Permission required: Tenant-side roles — occupant, visitor host, resource reserver, work order requestor — don't grant access to HqO Admin on the go. It's a landlord and property-team tool.
Availability during beta
Some areas are released to customers in stages during the beta. Event Check-In in particular is enabled per organization, so it may not appear for you yet even if you hold the Operator or Super Admin role. If you want it turned on for your buildings, contact your HqO account team.
Availability also depends on your region. The mobile admin runs on HqO's North American region today. A European deployment is planned at app-ffm.hqo.com, and until it ships, organizations on the EU region — the ones that use ffm.gohqo.co for desktop HqO Admin — can't use it. Ask your HqO account team which region you're on.
Sending feedback
Beta feedback shapes what ships next. If you hit a bug, find something confusing, or want to request a capability that's still desktop-only:
- Note what you were doing, which building you were in, and what you expected to happen.
- Reach out through Contact Support or your HqO account team.
