Surveys lets you collect structured feedback from tenants through short, targeted questionnaires delivered inside the HqO app. Build a survey, link it to a content tile, and view responses directly in HqO Admin.
Overview
Find Surveys at HqO Admin > Experience > Surveys. Surveys don't appear on their own in the app β they are attached to content tiles via the Target step. Tenants open the survey by tapping a call-to-action button on a content tile.
Use surveys to gather feedback on events, amenities, workplace satisfaction, or any topic where tenant input shapes your decisions.
π‘ Tip: Limit surveys to 5 questions or fewer. Shorter surveys consistently achieve higher completion rates.
The surveys list
The Surveys page shows two tabs:

Each row in the table includes:

| Last edited by | Name of the last person to modify the survey |
| Publish date | Date the linked content went or is scheduled to go live |
| Status | Current state: Draft, Scheduled, Live, or Archived |
Use Search by name to find a specific survey by its internal title. Click the filter icon next to the Status column to filter by status.
Creating a survey
Creating a survey is a three-step process across three tabs: Details, Edit, and Target.
Step 1 β Details
- Go to HqO Admin > Experience > Surveys.
- Click Create survey.
- Under Basic information, enter a Survey name (required). This is for internal use and will not show to tenants.
- Optionally enter a Survey description. This is also internal only.
- Click Next or click the Edit tab to proceed.
Step 2 β Edit (questions)
Add and configure your survey questions. Each question card has:

Question types:
| Type | When to use |

| Multiple choice (one answer) | Tenants select a single response from a list |
| Multiple choice (multiple answers) | Tenants can select more than one option |
| Open question | Tenants type a free-text response |
For multiple choice questions, add each answer option using the Choice field.
- Click Add question to append additional questions to the survey.
- Use the drag handle on the left of each question to reorder.
- Use the three-dot menu on a question card to duplicate or delete it.
Click Save at any time to preserve your progress as a draft.
Step 3 β Target (attach to content)
- Click the Target tab.
- Under Delivery method, use the Content search field to find the content tile you want to attach this survey to.
- Select the tile β the survey will be delivered to tenants who open that tile.
β οΈ Note: Audience targeting is controlled by the linked content tile. To change who sees a survey, update the audience on the content tile itself.
Survey statuses

β οΈ Note: You cannot edit a Live or Archived survey. Plan your questions before the linked content tile goes live.
Viewing survey responses
- Go to HqO Admin > Experience > Surveys.
- Click the Live & archived tab.
- Open the survey.
- Click the Responses tab.
- Filter results by Date, Building, or Company as needed.
Multiple choice questions display response counts and percentages. Open question responses show each tenant's free-text answer.
FAQ
Can I edit a survey after it goes live? No. Once the linked content tile is published, the survey is locked. Draft and Scheduled surveys can be edited at any time.
Can a tenant respond to the same survey more than once? Yes. There is currently no per-user submission limit.
Who can see a survey? The survey inherits the audience of its linked content tile. Update the audience on the content tile to control visibility.
What happens if I delete the linked content tile? The survey reverts to Draft status and can be reattached to a new content tile.
How do I promote a survey? Use Communications to send a push notification or email directing tenants to the content tile that hosts the survey.
