Content

Experience / Content β Production view
Use Content to publish articles, announcements, deals, and event posts directly to your tenant app. Organize tiles into named sections, feature up to six items in the Promoted Content carousel, and control who sees what β all from one page.
Overview
The Content module lives at Experience > Content in HqO Admin. When tenants open your app, they see a Home tab (the first four tiles per section) and a Discover tab (all remaining tiles). Admins decide which sections exist, what content goes into each, and in what order tiles appear.
Content has four views controlled by the top tab bar:
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Homescreen | Promoted carousel plus all live, upcoming, and draft tiles organized by section |
| Building Info | Content assigned to your building's dedicated Building Info tab in the app |
| Explore | Tiles not yet assigned to a homescreen section; visible to users browsing the Explore tab |
| Archive | Expired tiles that no longer appear in the app |
Homescreen tab
The Homescreen tab is the default view when you open Content.
Promoted Content carousel
At the top of the Homescreen sits the Promoted Content carousel. It holds up to 6 tiles displayed as featured cards before the regular section grid. To feature a tile, drag it into the Promoted Content area or click Change on any promoted slot to swap it.
The carousel counter (e.g., 6/6) shows how many slots are filled. Once all 6 are taken, replace an existing tile to add a new one.
Content sections
Below the carousel, tiles are grouped into named sections such as Events & Happenings, Building Experiences, Local experiences, or Wellness at Work. Each section is a draggable bucket:
- The first four tiles in a section appear on the app's Home tab.
- Tiles five and beyond appear on the app's Discover tab.
- Drag tiles within a section to reorder them. Drag tiles between sections to move them.
Each tile in a section shows:
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| π lock icon | Content is restricted to a specific audience |
| Date | Scheduled publish date (if in the future) |
| Live badge | Tile is currently live in the app |
| Title and subtitle | The tile's display text |
Click New Content (the + card) inside any section to create a new tile directly under that section.
Use the Search events, posts, and deals⦠bar at the top to find a tile across all sections.
Click Show More Categories at the bottom to load additional sections.
Building Info tab
The Building Info tab surfaces content assigned to the standalone Building Info tab inside the tenant app. Organize it into sub-sections the same way you would on the Homescreen β click New Content to add tiles or drag existing tiles into order.
Explore tab
The Explore tab contains tiles that are live but not pinned to any homescreen section. Tenants discover them by browsing the Explore tab in the app. Move tiles here when you want them available without occupying a section slot.
Archive tab
The Archive tab holds tiles whose publish window has ended. Archived tiles no longer appear in the app. To restore a tile, open it, update the publish dates, and save β it will return to the Homescreen or Building Info view based on its section assignment.
Manage sections
Click Manage sections (top-right of the Content page) to add, rename, reorder, or delete sections. Changes apply immediately to the app's layout.
Creating content
Step 1 β Open the creator
Click Create content (top-right of the Content page). A new Draft tile opens in the content editor.
Step 2 β Fill in content details (Edit tab)
The Edit tab is divided into two sections.
Content details β shown in both the thumbnail card and the detail view:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Title | β | Full title displayed on the tile |
| Subtitle | β | Short descriptor β max 25 characters |
| Show a date & time in content details | β | Toggle on to display a date/time stamp inside the detail view |
Media β shown in both the thumbnail and the detail view:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Image | β | Upload a hero image for the tile |
A live Preview pane on the right side of the screen shows how the tile card will appear in the app as you fill in fields.
Use the English (US) language selector at the top to create localized versions of the content for multilingual buildings.
Step 3 β Schedule publishing (Schedule tab)
Click Schedule in the left sidebar to control when the tile goes live.
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Publish now | Tile goes live immediately when you click Create |
| Schedule for later | Set a future date and time; the tile stays in draft until then |
You can also set an optional expiration date. When the expiration date passes, the tile moves automatically to the Archive tab and stops showing in the app.
Step 4 β Set audience and notifications (Target tab)
Click Target in the left sidebar to define who sees the tile and how they're notified.
Audience β select one or more audience segments. The tile only appears to tenants who match at least one segment (e.g., Cobblestone Collaborative β All Users).
Push notification β optionally send a push alert when the tile publishes. Configure notification text and delivery channels here.
Step 5 β Save
Click Create (top-right) to save and publish (or schedule) the tile. The tile status updates from Draft to Live or Scheduled depending on your publish settings.
Publishing and scheduling
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Tile saved but not visible in the app |
| Scheduled | Tile set to publish at a future date and time |
| Live | Tile is actively visible to matching tenants |
| Archived | Tile's publish window ended; no longer visible |
To reschedule or republish an archived tile, open it, update the dates, and save.
Audience targeting
Every tile targets a specific audience. Set this in the Target tab. A tile only appears to users who match the audience you've selected. Create separate tiles if you need different content for different tenant groups.
FAQ
Can I duplicate a tile? Yes. Open any existing tile and click Duplicate from the options menu to create an independent copy you can edit.
What happens when a tile expires? It moves to the Archive tab automatically and stops showing in the app. Update its publish dates to restore it.
Can I target a tile to multiple audiences? Yes β you can add more than one audience segment in the Target tab. The tile appears to tenants who match any of the selected segments.
What is the difference between Homescreen and Building Info? The Homescreen tab controls what appears in the main content feed. Building Info controls what appears in the dedicated Building Info tab in the app β typically static reference content like tenant handbooks, floor maps, and property policies.
What does the lock icon mean on a tile? A lock icon means the tile is restricted to a specific audience. Tenants outside that audience will not see the tile.
How many tiles can be in the Promoted Content carousel? Up to 6 tiles can be featured in the Promoted Content carousel at any time.
