App Home
The HqO app home screen is the primary destination for tenants after they log in. It surfaces the most relevant content, services, and building updates in a single scrollable view.
Overview
The home screen is divided into these main areas, from top to bottom:
| Area | Description |
|---|---|
| Salutation | A time-sensitive greeting personalized with the building name |
| Location Selector | Building switcher in the top-left corner |
| Promoted Post Carousel | A horizontal scrolling row of featured content cards pinned by the property team |
| Utility Buttons | Quick-access shortcuts to building services (resource booking, visitor registration, service requests, etc.) |
| Content Feed | A stream of published content, events, and announcements organized into carousels |
The layout is consistent across buildings but the content is specific to each building the user belongs to.
Salutation
The greeting at the top of the screen adapts to the local time on the user's device and welcomes them to their building ("Welcome to [building name]"):
| Greeting | Time window |
|---|---|
| Good Morning | 12:00 AM – 12:00 PM |
| Good Afternoon | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM |
| Good Evening | 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM |
Location Selector
The location selector in the top-left corner displays the name of the building the user is currently viewing. Tenants associated with more than one property tap it to switch buildings — all home screen content updates to match the selected building.
Promoted Post Carousel
The carousel appears at the top of the home screen and displays content cards that your property team has promoted. Cards use a top-to-bottom gradient for a "stage" effect, and users swipe horizontally to move between them. New users see a welcome card with the building image and logo on first launch — this card is shown only once per user.
Cards can include:
- Events with registration open
- Announcements and memos
- Deals and promotions
- Surveys
Property teams manage promoted content from HqO Admin > Experience > Content by toggling a content card to "Promoted."
💡 Tip: Keep promoted content fresh — aim for no more than 3-5 cards at a time, and rotate weekly.
Utility Buttons
Utility buttons appear as a horizontal icon row below the carousel. They provide one-tap access to building services configured by your property team. Tenants cannot reorder the buttons — the order is set by the property team.
Common utility buttons include:
- Resource Booking
- Register a Visitor
- Submit a Request
- Access Control
Property teams configure utility buttons in HqO Admin > App Configuration > Utility Buttons.
Content Feed
Below the utility buttons, the content feed shows all active published content organized into category carousels for easy browsing. Tenants can:
- Tap a content card to read the full post
- RSVP to events directly from the feed
- Claim deals from deal cards
Bottom Navigation
The tab bar at the bottom of the screen is available from anywhere in the app:
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| Home | Returns to the app home screen |
| Content | Optional secondary customizable content page (if enabled by the building) |
| Discover | Searchable and filterable repository of all available content |
| Profile | User-specific account and app settings |
