Apple Developer Account Recovery

If your organization has lost access to its Apple Developer account β€” usually after personnel changes or lost credentials β€” you can recover it by contacting Apple with the right information. This guide walks through what to gather and how to reach Apple.

Step 1: Gather account information

Collect the following details. If HqO was previously added to your account, we can help you find them:

DetailDescription
Entity nameAlso called the account name
Team IDYour Apple Developer team identifier
Account typeOrganization or Personal (typically Organization)

Step 2: Prepare supporting documentation

Apple will ask you to prove your organization's identity and your authority to act on its behalf. Have ready:

  • D-U-N-S number β€” your organization's unique nine-digit business identifier (your HR or finance department can source this)
  • Proof of role and authority β€” documentation showing you have legal authority to act for the organization, such as business cards, company letterhead, or legal documents

Step 3: Contact Apple Support

Submit a support ticket at https://developer.apple.com/contact/apple-id/.

You can use this template for your message:
