Google Developer Identification Process
Google's updated Play Console Requirements policy requires all developer accounts to complete a mandatory identity verification. This guide walks your team through the process so your white-label Android app stays listed on Google Play.
Timeline
Google allows approximately one month from the verification notification date to finalize the process. Check your Google Play Console to confirm your account's specific deadline.
⚠️ Note: If Google cannot verify your organization, your app may be removed from Google Play. Make sure all contact information you submit is accurate and actively monitored.
What you need
Only the account's Account Holder can complete verification. Before starting, gather:
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| D-U-N-S number | Your organization's unique nine-digit business identifier |
| Employee count | Approximate organization size |
| Organization phone number | Used for verification |
| Organization website | Optional |
| Verification contact details | Name, email, preferred language, and phone — not displayed publicly |
| Developer profile details | Phone and email — displayed publicly on Google Play |

- Log in to the Google Play Console and open the verification prompt.
- Review the process overview and begin payment profile setup.
- Enter your organization's D-U-N-S number and confirm the organization information Google returns.
