EU Digital Services Act

The EU Digital Services Act (DSA) requires Apple to verify and display trader contact information for apps distributed in the European Union. Every Apple Developer account must declare a trader status in App Store Connect β€” even if your app is not distributed in the EU.

Background

Under DSA Articles 30 and 31, Apple must verify and publish trader contact information β€” an address, phone number, and email address β€” on the App Store product pages of apps distributed in the 27 EU member states.

⚠️ Note: Even if you don't distribute your app in the EU, you still need to declare a trader status.

Requirements

  • You must hold at least the Admin role in App Store Connect.
  • For EU distribution, you need direct access to the contact phone number and email address you provide β€” Apple sends confirmation codes to both.

Declare your trader status

  1. Log in to App Store Connect.
  2. Select Business from the top navigation.
  3. Click Complete Compliance Requirements.
  4. In the popup, select your trader status:
    • Choose the first option if your app is distributed in the EU.
    • Choose the second option if your app is released in the US/Canada only.
  5. If your app is distributed in the EU, provide:
