Apple Developer Emails
Apple sends a variety of emails to the address on your Apple Developer account. This guide explains what each email type means for your white-label app and whether action is required from your team or from HqO.
Overview
Some Apple emails are routine and handled entirely by HqO; others β like license agreement updates and billing issues β can only be resolved by your account's owner. When in doubt, forward the email to appsupport@hqo.co and HqO will confirm the next step.
Email types and required actions
| Email type | Who acts | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| App rejection / App Store Connect | HqO | Forward to appsupport@hqo.co β HqO resolves rejections on your behalf |
| Auto-renew / billing information missing | Your team | Add a valid payment method (steps below) |
| Auto-renew failed | Your team | Log in to the Apple Developer portal and follow the prompts to add a valid payment method and renew your account |
| Build / delivery notifications ("Waiting for Review," "Build completed processing," SDK version notices) | No one | No action needed β these are a normal part of the app update process; HqO handles publishing |
| Certificate expiring or revoked (Apple Pay, Distribution) | No one | No action needed β certificate renewal is part of normal app maintenance and HqO renews on your behalf |
| Program License Agreement update | Your team | The Account Holder must log in and accept β see below |
| Trader status | Your team | Follow the EU Digital Services Act compliance steps |
Fixing missing billing information
If Apple reports that auto-renew or billing information is missing:
- Click the update link in the email, or log in to your Apple Developer / Apple ID account.
- Select Payment & Shipping in the left-hand menu.
- Click Add a payment method.
- Enter your credit card information and save the changes.
- Sign back in to the Apple Developer portal to verify the update is complete.
Program License Agreement updates
Apple requires the updated Program License Agreement to be accepted periodically (typically annually). Log in to Apple Developer with your account email and password and accept the agreement.
β οΈ Note: Accepting the agreement is mandatory for your app certificate to be renewed, and HqO cannot accept it on your behalf β it requires your Apple Developer credentials. See Accepting Apple Program License Agreements for detailed steps.
