Turn on additional Visitor Management capabilities and fine-tune how reminders, badge activation, and notifications behave across your building.

Available features

The Features section of Settings provides a set of configurable options you can enable for your building.

Toggle-based features

Enable any of the following features with a single toggle.

Enable day passProvides visitors with a day pass for building access.
Enable watchlistFlags visitors against a watchlist.
Enable visitor groupsAllows visitors to be organized into groups.
Allow VIP Administrators to waive contact informationLets VIP Administrators skip required contact information. Requires desk badge pickup.
Enable user acknowledgementConfirms user intent before a visitor invite is submitted.
Enable floor and suite fieldsAdds floor and suite fields to the visit form.
Enable visitor anonymizationAssigns unique IDs to visitors while maintaining identification.
Enable loading dockAdds an access management module for the loading dock.
Enable vendor moduleAdds a vendor access management module.
Enable past visit check-inAllows check-in for visits that have already occurred.

Walk-up visits

When you enable Walk-up visits, you can create visits for unplanned arrivals when the visit is scheduled to begin within one hour. Building Guard roles gain the ability to create these visits.

An optional sub-setting makes the email and phone fields optional for same-day visits.

Notification and access settings

Configure how and when visitors and staff are notified, and when visitor badges become active.

Reminder notifications

Choose how visitors are reminded about an upcoming visit.

Daily reminderA reminder is sent at a time you specify.

Badge activation timing

Control when a visitor's badge becomes active.

Standard activationThe badge is active only during the scheduled visit window.
Early badge activationThe badge activates one hour before the scheduled window.
Daily badge activationThe badge activates at a specific time each day.

SMS and text notifications

SMS and text notifications must be enabled by the HqO team on a per-building basis. This option is not self-serve configurable.
